Villas for rent in Attica, Greece.

The Attica region is a peninsula located on the southernmost tip of the Greek mainland. The area is characterised by a varied landscape of mountains, plateaus, the sea and naturally Athens, the capital of Greece. Attica is a highly diverse holiday destination. Enjoy numerous beautiful beaches, get carried away by history or explore the mountains. The holiday homes in Attica are mostly traditional residences featuring typical Greek style.

The city has many charming old neighbourhoods with small winding streets, a wide variety of entertainment venues, countless shops, Greek art and naturally several museums, including the famous National Archaeology Museum. After spending a busy day exploring this metropolis, there is nothing like relaxing in the privacy of ‘your’ holiday home.

History of Attica in addition to the city of Athens, Attica has much more history to share. The temple of sea god Poseidon, one of the most beautiful excavation sites, is located on a high rock on the southernmost tip of Attica in Sounion. The sea views are breathtaking and the location is perfect for enjoying a spectacular sunset. It is also located along a beautiful route on the west coast that runs from Athens to Sounion and is great for swimming. Another fun place to visit is the town of Kifissiá, located just northeast of Athens and home to stately villas and much greenery. The pine trees of Kifissiá keep the town relatively cool during the hot summer months compared to the sweltering capital.

The original beaches of Attica are sandy with pebblestones, gravel or rocks. Along the Apollo coast you will find numerous man-made, slightly sloping sandy beaches with excellent facilities, such as Glifada, Voula and Vouliagmeni.
